The Rice Brain Institute (RBI) was established in the fall of 2025. The goal is to bring together neuroscience, neuroengineering, as well as society, economy and policy to stimulate cross-disciplinary connections and new breakthroughs around brain health. RBI consists of three parts: the Neuroengineering, the Neuroscience and the Brain and Society initiatives. The Amyloid Center is a concrete effort in the Neuroscience direction.
